Teaching, Community, Mentoring
Since 2019 I have taught dozens of sold-out music production workshops at, Stanford University’s D-School, I/O Music Academy, and the Gray Area Institute for the Arts, where I run an NEA-funded program that provides free-to-all electronic community events and a synthesizer lending library.
If you would like to book me to run one of my workshops, get in touch.
I offer one-on-one, mentoring/creative coaching and hands-on studio sessions, shaped around whatever you're working on — learning a tool, finishing a track, or finding where your music is trying to go. Beginners to working pros, in my studio @ Gray Area, or online. Get in touch to start learning together.
Ableton Live — novice to advanced: composition, sound design, arrangement, mixing, mastering, live performance, and hardware integration, drawing on twenty years of professional use.
Finishing your tracks — take a loop or half-formed idea to a complete, release-ready mix.
Genre & composition studies — make tunes like the artists you love, and learn why they work.
Modular synthesis — my system, VCV Rack, or yours; patching fundamentals through generative composition.
Hardware instruments — drum machines, synths, guitar, fx. I've never met a synth I couldn't figure out.
Coaching & mentorship — find your voice, build confidence, and figure out your next step.
